Processed product to bulk package

Aseptic bag filling for bulk products

Aseptic bag filling receives suitably processed product through a maintained hygienic connection and fills a compatible package. The illustrated arrangement has two drum positions and roller tracks. Selection centers on the bag fitment, product flow and filling cycle, together with the upstream thermal process.

Specify the bag and fitment first

Bag size is only one part of the package interface. Fitment geometry, connection method, package preparation and the support around the bag determine how it meets the filling head. The drum supports the package during filling and handling; it does not define the product-contact boundary.

The equipment family covers 1–220 L bag formats with configured options. The pictured drum arrangement is not assigned every size in that range, and a small bag-in-box format should not be treated as interchangeable with a drum simply by changing the fill quantity.

Coordinate filling cycles with product arrival

Product viscosity and any particles influence the filling passage and shutoff behaviour. Define fill mass or volume, accuracy method and the condition at the filling-head inlet. Product flow during one fill is different from average packed output after bag changes and handling time are included.

The upstream system needs a planned response while bags are changed or filling is interrupted. Do not create an uncontrolled product hold or an open transfer just to balance the thermal unit and the filler.

Protect the product after the thermal step

The filler does not pasteurize incoming untreated pulp. Its role depends on the integrated process before and through the filling head. Define line preparation, package connection, interruption recovery and post-run cleaning as one operating sequence.

Allow access around both drum positions for changing packages and inspecting connections. Match roller height and downstream handling to the filled package, with a clear route that does not interfere with the control panel or service points.

Equipment and process questions

Is this a retail bottle filling line?

The illustrated product is a bag-filling arrangement with drum handling. A retail bottle, can or other package line has different package preparation and handling requirements.

Does aseptic filling define a shelf life?

Shelf life depends on the validated product process, package, storage conditions and verification program. A filling-machine photograph or bag-size range does not establish it.

The next step in your process

Put the equipment scope together.

Discuss the ingredient, the incoming material and the part of the line you want to build.
