Decanter vs Disc Separator for Sea Buckthorn

Separate the solids load from the clarification target.

Begin with the outlet specification

A decanter provides a controlled split between settleable solids and liquid. A disc separator is selected around its bowl configuration and the agreed liquid or phase endpoint. These duties can complement each other, but the two machines should not be treated as interchangeable clarity upgrades.

Control what reaches the separator

Record the incoming particle and solids profile, temperature and flow condition. Screening or decanting upstream should remove a justified load while retaining the ingredient characteristics you need. A generic maximum solids percentage is not an established sea buckthorn inlet allowance.

Compare the retained and liquid fractions

Collect inlet and outlet samples from the same interval. Agree how appearance, suspended material and standing behaviour will be assessed. Natural layering in a stored sample is a different observation from the machine meeting its specified particle-removal duty.

Information for an equipment enquiry

Describe the material you start with, the ingredient you want and the part of the process you need to add. Include a known processing amount or package format if available. The linked equipment pages identify the machines relevant to this decision.

The next step in your process

Put the equipment scope together.

Discuss the ingredient, the incoming material and the part of the line you want to build.
