Product trial and selection

Sea Buckthorn Phase Sample Record

Document cream, serum, pulp and sediment with sample history and standing conditions before discussing separation.

Link the sample to the process

Record fruit lot, fresh/frozen/prepared condition, extraction route, any conditioning, sample temperature and the sampling point. Keep paired inlet, product and reject samples where available. Do not identify a layer by colour alone.

Observe phases under the same conditions

Use the same container, fill height, standing time and temperature. Record mixing before sampling, cream-layer height, serum appearance and sediment separately. Retain dated photos with a scale and the sample ID. Natural layering can be relevant to the product specification.

Connect the observation to an outlet

State which stream should remain in the ingredient and which should be collected separately. A bench layer is not proof that a selected separator has a dedicated outlet or reaches a recovery specification.

The next step in your process

Put the equipment scope together.

Discuss the ingredient, the incoming material and the part of the line you want to build.
